What is the ECCO Walk?
We’re partnering with ECCO, a global leader in comfort footwear, to bring together scientists, supporters, and the public for a 3km community walk through central London.
Starting and ending at ECCO’s Oxford Street store, this event combines movement, community, and purpose: raising funds to accelerate cancer research and celebrate the people working tirelessly to turn discoveries into treatments.

Why We’re Raising Funds
This event supports This Is For Me - This Is For Science, a campaign built by scientists, for scientists, in partnership with Cancer Research UK.
We focus on a critical challenge:
Many promising cancer research ideas never progress because early-stage funding is missing.
To solve this, we fund Proof-of-Concept (POC) Translational Awards (£5,000–£10,000) that help researchers generate the data needed to move discoveries closer to patients.
All funds are fully ringfenced for cancer research
Funding goes directly to high-impact translational projects
